Brief description:

An intensive one-day introduction to designing for emotion. Grounded in the scientific principles of human emotion, this course will teach you how to understand the elements of emotional mapping. Guiding you through bits that will get you to grips with key rules for designing emotional experiences. Applying the emotional spectrum to both physical and digital spaces. The day will be fun and interactive with tasks and games to understand what goes on in the emotional brain. How we can use it to our advantage when designing anything from a website to an exhibition.

It's fun, it's interactive, you will meet interesting people to exchange ideas and experiences, you will analyse your own products or services and leave with some concrete takeaways and guidelines as to how to practice emotional mapping in your industry.

About your trainer

Julie Zoe started off her career in product design and spent most of her time defining product characteristics and deciding on brand engagement strategies for global brand names. Next to that she also specialised in ethnographic research methods and usability testing. (She could talk to you at great length about the similarities between breastfeeding and jars)

On top of being UX consultant at Bunnyfo­ot, Julie Zoe teaches at Ravensbourne and guest lectures at other universities around London, spreading the love for methods that bridge the gap between the physical and digital designs. Being an enthusiast for sensory branding, Julie Zoe now heads up the ‘designing for emotion’ course at Bunnyfoot.

Her most recent clients include Vodafone, Nutricia, Sky and EasyJet.
